You know the old saying, "The grass is always greener on the other side". Well they never completed the story by telling you when you get your head through the fence it was much harder to get it out. That always happens because you thought, "If I can just get that right there, it is greener and better for me than what God has". Satan only shows you the gleaming shiny objects and the glory of the world, but that doesn't last long.
The Bible says in Heb. 11:25--(Moses) Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Sin is only good for a short time. Long enough for Satan to suck you in and then he takes the pleasure away and begins the spirit of depression, self doubt, thoughts of suicide, etc. This is a game he loves to play, but he has absolutely no authority to promise you anything, nor the power to take your soul. You have to give it to him.
What did Jesus say to Satan when he came tempting him after 40 days of prayer and fasting.
Luke 4:1-13[4] Jesus answered, "It is written: and again in verse [8] Jesus answered, "It is written", then this time Satan combats back with scripture in verse 10 and 11. (Satan to Jesus) For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' "So in verse 12 Jesus slams the door on this conversation when he answered in verse 12, "It says: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'". He had to leave.
Satan has only the amount of POWER he is given. I had given him the OK to wreak havoc in my life and he took every advantage of it.

This picture was taken by your Dad if I remember correctly. It was beside the OLD YELLOW house down the street from the church. Right between the house and the Drug store. It was right after church. Thanks for making the comment.
