What does Christ-mas really mean?

It is amazing to me how we have come so far in the wrong direction when it comes to the meaning of Christmas.

Breaking down the word CHRIST-MAS would indicate to me that it would be a CHRIST like day.

Everywhere Christ went, it was all about giving. I don't recall a time he ever took for himself.  Or maybe he did. I believe the Bible says he TOOK our sins, took many stripes, took a cross and willingly took death.

Christmas is the season for GIVING and making a face smile.

Lets not forget joy comes from giving to the less fortunate, and pay as you go. Charging your purchases takes away from the meaning of giving from a heart of sacrifice (of course if you charge more than you can pay back you will sacrifice dearly)
